Making a Statement

So I recently brought the full perm back hem tank top kit from Meli Imako.  I love having full perm stuff that I can customise and this top is just like a big white canvas to write on:

For example

It actually clips through my shoulders a bit but I decided I’m happier with that than the  larger sizes that don’t look like they fit me right.  Best worn with your hair down I suppose.

As you can see I’m getting my money’s worth

I have more but none of the photos came out right and I can’t be bothered re-taking them right now so I guess stay tuned for Making a Statement 2: Top in the City.  Or something.

Photos taken at Glam Affair.

Wrong Way

Today I’m taking photos in my new favourite top, the Anika Tank from R3volt.  I also took the photos at the R3volt main store because, well, I was there.

This is absolutely my natural hair color.  I’m half Anime, on my mother’s side.

The top comes with 15 different graphics for only$150, which is the kind of stingy value for money I can get behind. I’m also loving these heeled sneakers from Sin & Virtue.  I want them in ALL the colours and patterns but at $495 a pop I might just stick with the one pair.

The system pants are kind of letting the team down though.  I love these jeans but it’s probably time I found some good mesh ones.

Here’s a better shot of the tank where I’m not sitting weird.

I’m not showing it off  here but the street has a good post-war trashed look in a steel barrels and wrecked tanks kind of way.  The bike came from a bike rezzer around the corner.  It had them in different sizes which is good since 2nd me is usually too short for them.

The sunrise is never far away when your bike can fly.

After Work Drinks

I’ve probably said before but I love officewear.  This blog would probably be 90% blazers and pencil skirts if I could find some halfway decent office locations to take photos in.

Today’s outfit is a loose tank and leather skirt and is probably the most mesh I’ve worn at once:

The textures on the skirt are great but they didn’t really come out in any of the photos

I was a bit worried about buying this tucked tank from Tee*fy at first because it’d only work with skirts and pants that end at just the right place but it turns out it’s working with a lot of stuff, especially when you can wear a wide belt to tidy up the join.  I’d love if they had a lace or sheer version though to pair with a tube top for a more clubbing look.

It’s the subtle textures that really make something look good

I also finally stopped being cheap and brought a copy of this skin that doesn’t have the blue eyeshadow baked in so I can be a bit more gentle on the makeup.  So yay!

The real stars though are these gorgeous wedges from Maitreya Gold:

The new loves of my life

The toes seem a little off to me but otherwise they look amazing and the skin matching has to be the easiest I’ve ever used.  Although my skin came out pretty red in these photos so it’s not matching so great here unfortunately.

Totally appropriate table dancing courtesy of my Vista AO and, like, two beers.

Bite Me

Today’s look was inspired by this mesh top from Apple May:

look at me with my traditional standing-in-front-of-a-wall photo style lately

Now my boobs are staring at YOU.  How does it feel?

The top was  from the Mesh Around hunt.  I’ve been pretty slow getting on the mesh bandwagon, mostly because I’m stubborn about always having to change my shape to fit the clothes.  Also I love to layer and it’s hard to chuck a jacket or vest or something over a mesh top.

This top keeps clipping around my shoulders. I’m not sure what I’d have to adjust to fix that though.

I’m starting to feel pretty unfashionable though turning up somewhere in my old-fashioned clothes layers and seeing everyone else meshed up from head to toe.

why did this one come out with such rough edges?
